"Sexuality is a large issue in America right now," Oliver Stone complained, "but it isn't so much in other countries." "There's a raging fundamentalism in morality in the United States. From day one audiences didn't show up. They didn't even read the reviews... because the media was using the words: 'Alex is Gay'."
Oliver Stone whined that Alexander the Homosexual was just way too complex for the stupid Americans' "conventional minds". "The script was just too ambiguous, too questioning about an action-hero who was masculine/feminine." Oliver Stone obviously believes that the Greek-leaning Europeans are more into his pansy-style of homo-erotic film-making.
In an attempt to recover the huge losses that this boring sex-epic incurred, the DVD for Alexander will not be discounted. |
