Alias Betty Description: "Betty ( Sandrine Kiberlain) is a best-selling novelist who has invented her name to escape a troubled past embodies by her emotionally unstable and violent mother ( Nicole Garcia). When her young son is killed in a tragic accident, Betty is so devasted that she barely notices when her deranged mother brings home a "replacement," a boy she kidnapped off the street. At first, Betty is cold towards him, but soon she decides she wants to keep her new "son" and becomes an unwilling accomplice in a criminal act. The plot thickens with the entrance of the boy's sexual promiscuous mother ( Mathilde Seigner ) and her unsavoray circle of friends.
